Which is the better college admissions test to take: DSAT or ACT?
Although both the Digital SAT and ACT are nationally recognized standardized tests and common admission requirements for US schools, each is unique in its own way.
Both the tests contain similar sections (English and math, ACT has an additional science section as well). These sections are set in a definite order with an optional essay, and each tests different skill sets.
While the SAT is is focused on checking the students analytical skills, and is more liberal with time, the ACT checks a students ability to work at a faster pace while being accurate.
While the SAT focuses on analysis and problem solving, the ACT focuses on attention to detail and speed.
Picking the test most suitable to the student's strength and focusing on a near perfect score is the key. If you are an analytical thinker and would like to take your time, then SAT would be a more suitable test. However, if you are the type of student who's thorough with the concepts and can comprehend texts at a glance, ACT is the test for you.
Whichever test you choose to take, there's no other magic formula for a perfect score than thorough PRACTICE!!!
Good Luck!!!
