Service Description

This is offered as a group lesson, and students meet once a week for one hour. Homework will be assigned and will be reviewed in the consecutive class. The curriculum will include lessons from reading, writing and grammar. Reading- Comprehension passages geared to prepare students for PARCC and PSAT. Primary objective is to increase speed in reading and processing difficult text. Writing - Introduction to Persuasive writing, developing a thesis statement & synthesizing arguments. Grammar - Identifying types of phrases & clauses and appropriate use of punctuation marks.
